El Paso — On May 11th six of El Paso’s top professional golfers will participate in the 3rd Annual CF Jordan Skins Game benefiting The First Tee of Greater El Paso.
Victorious in last year’s event, current LPGA Tour Members Gerina Medoza Piller and Paul Stankowski will re-join with Chris Baryla to take on Martin Piller (Web.comTour Member), Krisi Albers (former LPGAMember), and Steve Haskins, former Nationwide Tour/Champions Tour Member.
The golfers will provide a Skills Clinic at 1:00 pm, followed by a 9-hole skins game starting at 2:00 pm. The family-friendly event will take place at El Paso Country Club and is open to the public. Admission is free….The event will feature both Raffle and Silent Auction. Auction items to include 4 Pin Flags from the 2012 four major tournament winners.
“Last year, we had a great event and we’re hoping this year will be bigger and better. The guys all had a lot of fun playing and we’re excited to bring in three new players,” said Kristi Albers. “The First Tee is an all-around youth development program—it’s not just golf skills. We make the golf lessons fun and age-appropriate, but more importantly, we teach our participants the 9 Core Values and Healthy Habits™ that will help make them successful in every aspect of their life. Last year, we launched our National School Program in EPISD and was able to reach over 10,000 elementary students. This year we expanded our program into the YISD and hopefully next year the SISD”.
The event also will raise awareness for The First Tee of Greater El Paso, which offers programming at Ascarate Golf Course and Underwood Golf Course (part of its Military Affiliate Program) and Butterfield Trail Golf Course as well as a the National School Program in El Paso Independent School District and Ysleta Independent School District. First Tee programs are offered to children ages 5 to 18 and include life skills, Healthy Habits, and the 9 Core Values (courtesy, judgment, honesty, integrity, sportsmanship, respect, confidence, responsibility and perseverance) in each golf lesson.
This year’s pairing to feature the girls against the guys.
Event: 1:00 pm Saturday, May 11, 2013 at El Paso Country Club, 5000 Country Club Place 79922.
