The Fairacres Little League All-Stars won the New Mexico state championship last week, and now, the Las Cruces all-star team is headed to the Little League Southwest Regionals in Waco, Texas.  Friday, Fairacres All-Stars will face an all-star team from Arkansas on Friday, August 2.  According to coaches, this is the first time a team has advanced to the Little League regionals in 40 years.

The team includes Noah Coyle, Matt Giles, Wilson Bannister, Dominic Telles, Justin Almegar,  Benito Garcia, Justin Lopez,  Jeramiah Apodaca, Ryan Rosales, Kaden Palmer, Josh Castillo, Fernando Lorea,  Ivan Molina, Coach Jay Rosales, Manager Scott Bannister, & Coach Deryl Palmer. Members of this team  have also won the USSSA State Championship and the AABC State and Regional South Plains Championship.

The first round of games will be aired on the Longhorn Network. The  following rounds will be aired on both ESPN2 and the Longhorn Network. The  winner of the Regionals in Waco will represent the Southwest in the Little  League World Series in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, as seen every year in August on ESPN.
