Since signing to play at the University of Texas, El Dorado star wide receiver MJ McFarland has gotten bigger and faster as his Aztec team looks to improve on an impressive season in 2009.

After an 8-3 season where the Aztecs just missed out on the district title with a 6-2 league record, El Dorado lost in the first round of the playoffs. But they weren't down for long because they knew that 2010 has a chance to be a special and better season.

El Dorado brings back several receivers, including McFarland, and Josh Huerta at quarterback, who started the final five games last year. Also, six defensive backs return. As a result, head coach Jim Althoff thinks that pass defense will be one of the team's strengths in the coming season.
