Part of American Youth Soccer Organization’s (AYSO) 50th anniversary celebration, #SoccerFEST14, presented by Dole, mobilized tens of thousands of participants across the U.S. to play in a one-day soccer extravaganza promoting sportsmanship, health, fitness, families and fun.

WHY/STATS: To celebrate 50 years of service across the United States, encouraging children of all ages to join in a fun day of soccer and set a world record.
• Since 1964, AYSO has had over 6 million players and 1.2 million volunteers
• Currently AYSO has more than 50,000 teams, over 500,000 players and 125,000 volunteers
• AYSO star alumni include Landon Donovan, Cobi Jones, Jimmy Conrad, Derek Jeter, Julie Foudy and Shannon Boxx

WHO: Over 10,000 participants (both AYSO and non-AYSO members) are expected to participate from New York City to Honolulu.
