Scorps go back-to-back; defeat Abq Aardvarks in Santa Fe 10's

The El Paso Scorpions Rugby Club once again returned from Northern New Mexico as champions this weekend, defeating the Albuquerque Aardvarks.

The Scorpions traveled to Santa Fe for the annual 10's Rugby Rournament, where they repeated as champions for the second year in a row.  El Paso was perfect over 5 matches, enroute to the championship.

Before defeating the Aardvarks, the Scorpions beat first beat the NMSU Chiles 28-19, then UNM 'A Side' 53-7, followed by Hobbs / UTEP 31-7, and finally beating Santos 25-17.

All eyes now turn to the Scorpion's season opener, this Saturday against the Las Cruces Horny Toads. Game time is scheuled for 2 p.m. at Thorn Park on the city's westside.
