Park + Ride with Sun Metro to the ballpark this home stand

Park + Ride with Sun Metro to the ballpark this home stand
KTSM
El Paso Chihuahuas
Tuesday, June 10, 2014 - 9:47am

Sun Metro invites the public to Park+Ride to the Chihuahuas’ home games!

Service from the East Side, Mission Valley, West Side, Northeast and Far East Side will continue. Sun Metro will continue testing the direct bus service from the Five Points area (Yandell near Birch) for the next home stand, June 9-June 16.

Fans can PARK+RIDE from SIX LOCATIONS with direct bus service. El Pasoans are urged to support and help preserve the bus service so as to reduce Downtown congestion.

Round-trip fare is just $3! The public is reminded that departures from the Park+Ride lots take place an hour and a half before the game and most of the Park+Ride lots have only one departure so please arrive early.

NOTE: The Five Points departure is an hour before game!

PASSENGERS ARE REMINDED TO HAVE EXACT CHANGE ($3 round trip) FOR THE FAREBOX. Drivers do not have access to currency. Reduced fares and bus passes will NOT be accepted on these routes. Children 5 and under ride for free and must be accompanied by an adult.
Parking is free at five of the six Park+Ride locations and on a first-come, first-serve basis. Because the Five Points Transit Terminal does not have a designated parking lot, passengers will need to park along area streets.

The drop-off site will be near the Missouri and Oregon intersection, located about a block east of the ballpark.

There will THREE return trips. The first return trip will depart at the end of the 7th inning, the second return trip will be at the end of the game and the final trip will be an hour after the game. Fans will be picked up at the SAME location as the drop-off site for each of the routes.

Passengers who use Sun Metro’s LIFT can call (915)212-0100 to schedule their trips. LIFT vehicles will drop off and pick up on the southwest corner of Franklin and Durango, near the west entrance of the ballpark.

For more information about Sun Metro’s ballpark service, visit sunmetro.net/ballpark or call (915)533-3333. Like us on Facebook at facebook.com/sunmetro or follow us on Twitter @SunMetro.
