After three weeks of voting, the El Paso Chihuahuas (San Diego Padres) won Minor League Baseball’s Clash of the Caps, proving that the El Paso Triple-A baseball team has the most popular logo around MiLB.

The Chihuahuas defeated top teams such as the Richmond Flying Squirrels (San Francisco Giants) and Albuquerque Isotopes (Los Angeles Dodgers), who finished second and third respectively.

“What an amazing journey it has been,” said General Manager Brad Taylor. “El Paso and the nation have embraced our brand. What a positive, fun association this is for our city.”

One cap from each of the 160 Minor League teams was represented and fans were asked to vote online. Chihuahuas fans voted early and often, carrying their team to the top.

The brand, launched on October 22, has reached national and international success, with online orders in all 50 states and nine countries. It has quickly become one of the most recognizable and sought out brands in baseball.

The Chihuahuas were brought to life through a partnership with Brandiose, a design firm in San Diego. Partners Jason Klein and Casey White created over fifty team names and logos, including brands for the Richmond Flying Squirrels, Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs, and America’s oldest baseball club, the Cincinnati Reds.

Fans can purchase the popular cap either online at EPChihuahuas.com or in person at our two ballpark locations located at 1 Ballpark Plaza (on Santa Fe Street and on Durango Street).

The Chihuahuas Team Shop is open Monday-Friday 10 a.m.-5 p.m. and Saturdays 10 a.m.-4 p.m. The retail stores are closed Sundays except for gamedays. Both stores are closed on Memorial Day.
