El Paso Chihuahuas INF/OF Jonathan Galvez has been named to the Pacific Coast League All-Star team, the PCL and International League announced Thursday. Galvez will be the Chihuahuas’ representative at the 2014 Cree Triple-A All-Star Game, presented by Gildan, on Wednesday, July 16th at Durham Bulls Athletic Park in North Carolina, home of the Tampa Bay Rays Triple-A affiliate.

The 23-year-old Galvez has a .298 batting average with six home runs and 24 RBIs in 51 games played with El Paso. Galvez has been one of the most versatile players in the San Diego Padres organization, seeing playing time at first base, second base, third base, shortstop, left field and designated hitter in his career.

The International League All-Star team will be announced in the coming days.

The 2014 Cree Triple-A All-Star Game, presented by Gildan, will air on MLB Network at 5:00 pm El Paso time on July 16th. The radio broadcast will be carried live on the El Paso Chihuahuas flagship station, Team 600 ESPN El Paso.
