The Reno Aces accumulated a season-high 22 hits in their 12-2 win over the El Paso Chihuahuas Thursday at Aces Ballpark in Reno. The Aces scored at least one run each of the second through seventh innings in the rout. The Chihuahuas have lost two games in a row after their recent five-game winning streak.

The first four Reno batters had multi-hit games and every Aces position player had at least one hit. El Paso’s Cody Decker went 2-for-4 in the loss, while Jake Goebbert walked in the ninth inning, extending his on-base streak to 13 games. Chihuahuas reliever Chris Rearick pitched a scoreless inning in his first outing since May 10th. Rearick was recently activated from the disabled list.

El Paso starter Michael Nix allowed six runs in 3.2 innings after surrendering two runs or less in his first two outings. The Chihuahuas are now 4-5 against the Aces this season.
