Duke's Kyrie Irving Selected #1 Overall By Cleveland In NBA Draft

Duke's Kyrie Irving highlighted the 2011 NBA draft in Newark, New Jersey being selected number one overall by the Cleveland Cavaliers. Arizona's Derrick Williams was the second pick to the Minnesota Timberwolves. The Utah Jazz took the first international player of the 2011 draft by taking Turkey center Enes Kanter. 

Other notable picks were 2011 NCAA tournament most outstanding player from Connecticut Kemba Walker to the Charlotte Bobcats. BYU's Naismith Award winner Jimmer Fredette was drafted by the Milwaukee Bucks number ten overall, but had his rights traded to Sacramento.

UTEP draft hopefuls Randy Culpepper and Julyan Stone were not selected in the draft, but are free to sign with any NBA team as rookie free-agents.
