El Paso put three runs on the board in the first and never looked back against Shreveport-Bossier, knocking in 21 runs on 26 hits Tuesday night in a 21-6 victory, snapping a 4-game losing streak. Diablos 1B Kyle Nichols was one of four El Paso batters with four hits — a triple shy of the cycle. Nichols — who picked up four runs and four RBI — was one of three El Paso batsmen to hit a home run. Diablos starting pitcher David Whigham picked up the win after giving up three runs on four hits and a walk with eight strikeouts over seven innings. For Shreveport-Bossier, 2B/3B Mike Provencher (former Franklin High School Cougar) went 2-4 with two runs and three RBI.
