With the start of a new series come new opportunity, the Diablos opened their three game series with a highly contested loss against the Amarillo Sox, in a game that came down to the wire.

The Diablos went down early in the game, but nothing out of reach, after three innings the Diablos were down 3-1, with the one run scored by Maikol Gonzalez. Things got a little tricky for the Diablos as they went down by five runs after the Sox scored three runs in the top of the fourth inning. Like always thought, the Diablos responded with two runs to cut the lead to three.

Two innings later the Sox extended their lead to three as they scored two runs in the sixth inning, Later on in the eighth inning the Diablos tacked on two more runs thanks to Bubby Williams single, and a JJ Muse RBI single, to cut the lead to three again.

With the game almost at a close, the Diablos made things interesting in the ninth, putting two runners in scoring position, before falling to the Sox 8-5.

The Diablos are now 6-17 this season, with two more games against the Amarillo Sox in their three game series. The Diablos play tomorrow night, 7:05 at Cohen Stadium!
