Wednesday, July 10, 2013 - 2:42pm

Despite a tough 12-3 loss, the Diablos finish their eight game home stand on a positive note as they split their four game series with the Grand Prairie AirHogs 2-2.

The start of the game was very quick paced, with both teams not doing much offensively through the first four innings, newly acquired starting pitcher Drew Coffey was solid through his first four inning at the mound only giving up two runs.

Despite going scoreless in the first five innings the Diablos kept the game in arms reach only being down by four runs, in the bottom of the sixth inning the Diablos responded with two runs to cut the AirHogs lead to two.

The AirHogs had a response of their own scoring five runs in the seventh inning to take a commanding 9-2 lead. The AirHogs went on to win by the final score of 12-3 over the Diablos, as the series concluded in a split.

The Diablos are now done with their eighth game home stand and will now go on a seven game road trip from July 11 to July 17, as they will play the Laredo Lemurs and the Amarillo Sox.
