Diablos Beat Grand Prairie Again
It was almost a sweep. The Diablos took three of four from first place Grand Prarie to move to within 1.5 games of first place. The two clubs are tied in the loss column.
The AirHogs (46-42) built an early edge on Monday, but the El Paso Diablos (43-42) roared back to steal a 6-1 victory at QuikTrip Park.
The El Paso Diablos took the lead in the fourth inning on an RBI single by Welington Dotel.
Daniel Nelson racked up four RBIs on three hits for the El Paso Diablos. He homered in the fourth inning and singled in the third and ninth innings.
David Casillas brought the heat against the Grand Prairie AirHogs during his outing. The Grand Prairie AirHogs managed just one hit off of the the El Paso Diablos' pitcher, who allowed one earned run, walked seven and struck out two during his six innings of work.
John Brownell couldn't get it done on the hill for the Grand Prairie AirHogs, taking a loss. He allowed six runs in seven innings, walked one and struck out four.
