The Purple and Gold Challenge was canceled for a second day in a row due to snow. The UTEP softball team was scheduled to play Tennessee Tech and Lipscomb on Saturday afternoon.

The Miners (7-8) will be back in action next weekend when they open Conference USA play against Memphis at the Helen of Troy SoftballComplex. Game one of Saturday’s doubleheader is at 1 p.m. MT.
