Day 10 of the 2010 Winter Olympics
Sunday, February 21: The USA Men's Hockey team defeated Canada, 5-3, to earn a bye into the Quarterfinal round. Ryan Miller made 42 saves, while teammate Brian Rafalski scored 2 goals. Canada will now have to win four straight games to earn the gold medal on their home turf. The Men's Super-Combined was won by an American, Bode Miller. After Miller went without a medal in 2006 in Turin, Miller now has 3 medals (Gold, Silver and Bronze) after earning the Gold Medal today in the Super Combined. Defending Champ, American Ted Ligety, finished 5th. In the inaugural Skicross, the Gold Medal went to Switzerland's Michael Schmid, while Andre Lange of Germany won the two-man bobsled.
