Cowboys second round pick, rookie Demarcus Lawrence, was injured in training camp on Tuesday... and just a day later, we have learned it's a broken foot that will require surgery.  Lawrence is expected to undergo surgery on Thursday in Dallas, and will miss 8-12 weeks while recovering.

"He was off to a good start at training camp, and there is still a lot of football left, after 8-12 weeks in the season, so we anticipate him being back and ready to go for us at some point," said Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett.

"It's tough," defensive coordinator Rod Marinelli said of the loss of Lawrence. "He's a heck of a young player. I thought he was coming along well and all those things, but that's ball. Just get him ready to go when he's healthy and the next man up. We've got some guys who can come in and still rush over there."
