The Link, or Lincoln Financial Field, used to be a tough place to play, but this isn't your father's Philadelphia Eagles. The Dallas Cowboys used plenty of defense and special teams, accounting for three touchdowns, in a 38-23 Cowboys victory, a must needed victory if you are a Cowboys fan. Dallas improved to 4-5, while Philadelphia dropped to 3-6. Tony Romo was 19-26 for 209 yards and two touchdowns.
"It was big. Our backs were against the wall. We understood the importance level of this game. Our team had the right approach all week and they committed to what needed to be done to win this game," said Romo.
Dez Bryant caught a touchdown pass, then Dwayne Harris returned a punt 78 yards for a touchdown, then Brandon Carr with a 47-yard interception helped seal the victory.
"Oh it was a critical win for us you know we had to come up here against a division rival and win at their place and again it was going to take a team effort. I thought our team worked really hard this week in practice, and I thought they were focused, I thought they were focused throughout the ballgame. I thought it was a good game by our team early on after they went down and scored on the first drive to come back and answer and just play football. We understand that it was going to be a 60-minute game and there were going to be some highs and lows, some ups and downs, but you've got to play through them and when you have success, you've got to play through it and when you adversity you have to play through it, and today's game was a good example of that again within each unit but also across our whole football team."
Eagle Quarterback Michael Vick got a concussion in the second quarter and did not return, turning the reigns over to Rookie QB Nick Foles out of Arizona, who was 22-32 for 219 yards.
Next week, Dallas hosts Cleveland.
