The Dallas Cowboys held a players-only meeting on Monday, Head Coach Wade Phillips got upset at a reporter, and then the Cowboys went out on Wednesday and were focused at practice. Dallas (0-2) desperately needs a victory, and players are saying this team has one focus: the Houston Texans.
"If you're a professional you're going to give it to yourself," Marcus Spears said. "I think we've already been doing that as players. I think whatever facet that you can get better in and whatever you need to do to be productive and start winning, that's the whipping you should be giving yourself."
"You don't make it bigger than what it is," linebacker Keith Brooking said. "And obviously you dang sure don't make it smaller than what it is. It's a big game because it's the next game, and our focus is getting to 1-2. If we get to 1-2 our bye week will be ahead of us and we can regroup and get ready for game four. In this time it's not a crisis. I think there's a sense of urgency."
Some good news, Cornerback Mike Jenkins and Tight End Jason Witten were back at practice Wednesday, and expect to play Sunday at Houston.
