Despite leading the NFC East for the final part of the regular season, the Cowboys had to beat the Giants in the season finale to make the playoffs but came up short losing 31-14. Dallas came back from a 21-0 halftime deficit to pull within a touchdown in the 4th quarter but Eli Manning put it away to bring the Cowboys season to a close.

"The guys fought really hard to get back in this football game. Yeah it's just a... it's not a good feeling right now" said Tony Romo.

"We just have to get better as a team...it starts with me, the coaches, the players. And that starts when we reconvene in March," added head coach Jason Garrett.

Dallas finishes the season 8-8 and in 3rd place in the NFC East.
