Cowboys Prepare for Division Battle with Giants

6:30pm Sunday night, the Cowboys will host the Giants right here on NBC Newschannel 9.  The Dallas Cowboys are 4-1 in their past 5 games, while the New York Giants have lost four straight. 


“I hate anytime we play them,” Cowboys DeMarcus Ware said. “It’s just not the Giants, because guess what, the team is trying to come in here and take your manhood. So it don’t matter who you’re playing.”

It would seem all the momentum would be on the Cowboys side, but the Giants strength of schedule is not lost on the boys of big 'D'.  The Giants have lost to San Francisco, New Orleans and Green Bay in their last five games.

"They have a lot of strengths, especially on the offensive side of the ball. I think Eli's playing better than he has in his whole career. He's making great decisions. He's got a lot of threats on the outside", said Cowboys linebacker Keith Brooking.

The Giants won their first and only two visits to Cowboys Stadium in 2009 and 2010. Manning in those games: 50-of-73 for 636 yards, six touchdowns and three interceptions.

Outside linebacker DeMarcus Ware said of Manning, "He's one of the top quarterbacks. If you look on the stat sheet, he's up there somewhere."

Manning added, "We know it's a big game. We want to go in there playing relaxed," he said. "When you get in games that are very important late in the season in the division, you know the circumstances and we know where we stand with our season and what this game means, but we want to be excited about it. We know this is a great opportunity."
