Cowboys Open Up Training Camp in San Antonio

UPDATED: Saturday, July 24, 2010 - 10:39pm

Saturday, July 24: The Dallas Cowboys opened up training camp today, a week before other NFL teams due to playing in the Hall of Fame game. The Cowboys are in training in San Antonio at the Alamodome. New receiver Dez Bryant said, "The first day is great! I had a great time and can't wait to play." Cowboys owner Jerry Jones added, "I am excited about our prospects, for one reason for sure, and that is the familiarity that Wade has with our players on both sides of the ball."

Rookie Wide Receiver Dez Bryant was having fun, even signed a baby after practice. "I just wanted to be here on time, let the fans know that I am here for them, just like they are here for me, and man, I am ready for the season to start!" Veteran Cowboys Quarterback Tony Romo could not be happier with his group of receivers. "You know, we have had plenty of players when they come in, in the first round they have obviously done something right, for good reason, Dez is a good football player, and I think he is showing people that. I have said that before, we have a very deep receiving corps, and it's going to be fun to watch these guys play."
