Going to California... Hotel California... Californication... Plenty has been sung about the State of California, but for the NFL's Dallas Cowboys, no ballads needed as they prepare for the 2012 football season.  The Dallas Cowboys Training Camp officially gets under way Monday. On Sunday the team's owner and General Manager, Jerry Jones, and head coach Jason Garrett gave their annual "State of the Team" address.

Both Jones and Garrett spoke of the personnel changes made over the past months are intended to make the team younger and hungrier. There is a sense of excitement and also a sense of urgency as the team prepares for their season opener against the World Champion New York Giants at the Meadowlands.

Because the Cowboys do not kickoff the preseason until Aug. 13 at Oakland, they and the Raiders were the last teams to official report to training camp. Officially players have until Sunday to report to camp; however most of the team flew from Dallas. The Cowboys begin the regular season Sept. 5 against the Giants at MetLife Stadium and are in a little bit of a catch-up mode since the Giants reported to camp four days earlier.
