Cowboys Clean Out Lockers for Offseason
With the NFC East on the line, the Redskins and a pair of explosive rookies on Washington's offense gave the 'Skins their first home playoff game in thirteen years, after starting the year at three and six, after a 28-18 victory over Dallas on Sunday. For Dallas, it's another year of missing the playoffs altogether at 8-8.
Jason Garrett, Cowboys Head Coach, said "Certainly the result was not the one we wanted. They got the job done, we didn't, and we have to live with that. That's part of understanding what happened this year. We put ourselves in position to win the division and we didn't get it done. We have to go back, we have to remember this feeling tonight that we have in this locker room, that we have on that bus ride, that we're going to have on that plane ride going back and we have to use that as fuel going forward."
Quarterback Tony Romo added, "It stings, it's... I know all the guys are hurting in there. They're feeling, I'm sure all the same things I am. Put your heart in to this thing for so long throughout this year, this offseason and... You know, we had to overcome a lot of stuff just to get ourselves in this situation and we had a chance... and I'm just disappointed we didn't get the job done."
