Two sets of high school teammates decided to stay together when they head to college Wednesday.

Andress football celebrated three football players signing collegiate scholarships. Linebackers Kevin Aofia and Deonte Horton, and receiver Omar Barron all signed to Beloit College, a Division III school in Wisconsin.

At Coronado, Leanna Fino and Breeanna Veilleux played basketball for the T-birds and now the pair will play basketball together at Lindenwood University in Saint Charles, Missouri, an NAIA school.

Kevin Aofia and Omar Barron have also been Best Friends since elementary and have played football together since and are now headed to college together and now Deonte has become their teammate and a long time friend. It also would have been nice to have a picture of the 3 boys in your article. It is great to see that some recognition was given but at the same time it would have been nicer when it is shared equally. Thank you

Unfortunately our website only allows one photo per article. However, we had all three Andress boys on-air in our sports segment at 6 and 10pm!
