“We’re going to go with Matt (Christian). He has football IQ and he’s more experienced. We built our offense around Matt and we’re going to stay with that until we feel like we need to make a change," said Head Coach DeWayne Walker.

THOUGHTS ON IDAHO VANDALS
“Idaho is a great team. Offensively, their receivers are excellent and they have hard-noised running backs. They execute very well on the offensive side of the ball. We will have to have a solid tackling performance this weekend. Defensively, they have gotten better and they are continuing to improve. This is an offensive football team in Idaho. As a team they are very solid and disciplined group.eed to make a change.”

THOUGHTS ON RUNNING BACKS’ PERFORMANCE LAST WEEK
“Kenny (Turner) is probably the most versatile running back we have, so we have to find a way to put him in position to get the ball in his hands. We know, as a runner, Seth (Smith) is going to make plays. We have to identify our play makers and we have to find a way to get the ball in these guys’ hands and score more points.”

THOUGHTS ON FRESNO STATE’S RUNNING BACKS
“Their running backs are good. They don’t try to hide what they want to do. They’re very productive at the quarterback position and I just think they execute very well.”

THOUGHTS ON THE REMAINING 6 GAMES
“On Sunday I told them after the Hawaii game, we’ll see where we are. Can we win all of them? Can we win five? Can we win four? I challenged them and said we’ll see in the last half of this season how much we’ve improved. One of the things I like about this team is they continue to play hard. I think they believe they can still win some games. That’s a challenge that I continue to put on them and hopefully that’s a challenge they continue to put on themselves.”
