UPDATED: Thursday, May 15, 2014 - 9:16pm

Club Deportivo Guadalajara, one of the most historic soccer clubs in Mexico affectionately known as Chivas, in conjunction with Soccer United Marketing (SUM), today announced its U.S. summer tour dates across cities in the United States and against some of the best from top soccer nations – Brazil, England, Germany and Mexico.

In its ninth annual U.S. tour, the Rebaño Sagrado will open against Brazilian powerhouse Cruzeiro Esporte Clube at the Sun Bowl on the campus of The University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP) on Sunday, July 6, presented by Pepsi. Three days later, the club will travel to Southern California to face current CONCACAF Champions League champions and fellow Liga MX club Cruz Azul at the StubHub Center in Carson, CA on July 9, presented by Boost Mobile.

The tour continues on July 16 when Milwaukee’s Miller Park hosts its first-ever soccer game when Guadalajara will face English Premier League club Swansea City A.F.C in a match presented by Miller Lite.

Chivas will close the tour against reining European and German Bundesliga champion, FC Bayern Munich, as part of the Audi Football Summit. The marquee match will take place at Red Bull Arena in Harrison, NJ on July 31. FC Bayern Munich will head to Portland following the New York-area match to take on the MLS’ best in the 2014 AT&T MLS All-Star Game at Providence Park on August 6.

Tickets for all Chivas matches will go on sale on Thursday, May 22 at 10 a.m. local time. More information for each match can be found below.

One of the most historic and successful clubs in Mexico, Chivas has captured 11 first division titles in and has raised two Copa México trophies. Additionally, the 108-year-old team is the only club in Mexico to exclusively field Mexican players, a concept that has made Chivas a steady contributor of players to the Mexican National Team. Standout players include former Sporting Kansas City forward Omar Bravo, Aldo DeNigris, the 2012 Olympic gold medalists Jorge Enriquez and Antonio Rodriguez, as well as the FIFA Under-17 world champions Carlos Fierro and Patricio Araujo.

The Club Deportivo Guadalajara 2014 U.S. Tour is sponsored by Boost Mobile, Miller Lite, Mondelez and Pepsi.

Media accreditation information will be announced in the coming weeks.
