Chapin Girls Basketball Team Takes Court as City's Best

The Chapin Girls Basketball Team will take the court tonight at Jefferson as the city's best team.  Chapin is 19-3 overall, 5-0 in District 1-4A, and the Huskies have won 10 in a row.  After a big win over Burges next week, Chapin is on the cusp of a Top 25 ranking in State 4A.  Chapin knows they are playing well, but not ready to pat themselves on the back just yet.

Head Coach Marlee Webb said the team's chemistry is what makes them so strong, but also the fact they are following the game plan.  "The strength, they are really buying into the team concept. It doesn't matter who is doing well, we do what we need to do, try to execute and get the ball to the open person, and I think they have bought into that."  Junior Forward Kristina Higgins added, "Our chemistry is really good, we are a really close team this year. It's kind of scary, everybody gets along good. Everybody is stepping up, everyone is a big part of the team."
