Today, Socorro High School's Eudor Garcia signed to play baseball at El Paso Community College.  Garcia plays third base, first base, pitcher and catcher for the bulldogs, but will play 3rd and catcher at EPCC.  Garcia batted .593 with seven home runs in district last season, earning first team honors.

"I talked to my friends and teammates, and they are all happy for me, because I am signing with EPCC, and it's a great place to start for me. Pretty much for me and my family, it's a good feeling for us, because it's a great place to start for me," said Garcia.

EPCC expects to sign seven local baseball players from the El Paso and Las Cruces area.  EPCC opens the season Friday, January 27 at home against Scottsdale Community College.  First pitch is at 2:00pm on the Valle Verde Campus.
