Wednesday, August 11:  UTEP Senior Running Back Donald Buckram rushed for over 1500 yards last season, a school record.  The National Player of the Year Award nominee is not worried about all the awards, he wants to focus on football and earning a bowl game in his senior year.  Donald Buckram told Newschannel 9, "You know, it's not too big of a deal, I am worried about a championship and a bowl game, not awards... It's something I can do some window dressing on, but it's not my main priority right now."  Senior Quarterback Trevor Vittatoe added, "We're looking forward to him having another big year, after his really big breakout season last year. The good thing about it is that going into this season, teams can't really focus on our passing game because of our running game, they have to worry about both, so it's going to open everything up for both parts of our offense."
