Dez Bryant may not play in any more pre-season games for the Cowboys but he is expected to be ready for the season opener against the New York Giants on September 5th. 

The star recevier was injured this weekend playing against San Diego.  It was thought to be a knee injury but x-rays were negative revealing only patellar tendonitis which can be treated with rest.

The Cowboys are short of receivers for the remaining exhibition game.  Miles Austin and Jason Witten are also injured and may not be ready for the season opener.

Dallas hosts St. Louis on Saturday
