Bryant Breaks Finger, Season "Up To Him" Says Jones

POSTED: Tuesday, December 11, 2012 - 11:09pm

UPDATED: Tuesday, December 11, 2012 - 11:38pm

The Dallas Cowboys may have been touched by the fickle finger of fate because of an injury to star receiver Dez Bryant.

With about 9 minutes to go against the Bengals on Sunday, he caught this pass and was tackled by Adam Jones, he shook his head after the catch, knowing something was wrong. Still, Bryant stayed in the game and caught a touchdown pass a few plays later.

Tests after the game showed his finger is broken and may require surgery. Bryant is being evaluated, but reports say Bryant wants to play through it.

The wideout and QB Tony Romo have found their groove in the last five games, during which Bryant has caught 33 passes for 525 yards and 7 touchdowns. Bryant is expected to be evaluated tomorrow, but team owner Jerry Jones stated today that it is up to Bryant if he wants to play.
