Sunday, February 28:  Three local teams advanced to the Boys Basketball Regional Quarterfinals of the Texas State Playoffs, and one game will be played in El Paso.  #15 Bowie will meet Chapin in the 4A Regional Quarterfinal, 7:00pm Monday, March 1 at the Haskins Center.  Bowie is 30-2 overall, while Chapin is 20-13.  In other 4A action, #16 Austin will take on Canyon Randall, 5:30pm Monday at Seminole High School.  In the 5A Regional Quarterfinals, Americas will meet #7 North Crowley, 7:00pm Monday at Andrews High School.  North Crowley has a history of meeting El Paso teams in the Regional Qtrs, having played Montwood High School tough in the past 4 years, featuring guard Willie Warren, who now stars as a guard for Oklahoma.
