Big East To Expand with Boise State and San Diego State?
Monday, Boise State head coach Chris Peterson was quoted in his weekly press conference as say 'everyone is tired of the BCS.
That's understandable since his Broncos finished the season 11-1 and ranked 7th in the latest BCS poll but were not invited to a BCS bowl.
There is an old saying, if you can't beat them, join them. Today the Associated Press is reporting that Boise State will join the Big East, for football only.
The Big East has an automatic bid to the BCS. San Diego State is also rumored to be joining as a football only member.
SMU, UCF, and Houston will join the league for all sports.
The five schools will help a league that has seen the defections of Pittsburgh and Syracuse to the ACC for 2014... and West Virginia heading to the Big 12 next year.
TCU was scheduled to join the Big East in 2012 but backed out after they were invited to join the Big 12 Conference.
