Statement from BCS Executive Director Bill Hancock:

"Alabama held onto the top spot, while No. 2 Florida State soundly defeated a solid opponent in an emotional rivalry game which gave them an edge on No. 3 Oregon. BLOCKBUSTER ALERT: The weekend begins Thursday night, with No. 10 Oklahoma at No. 6 Baylor and No. 3 Oregon at No. 5 Stanford followed on Saturday by No. 13 LSU at No. 1 Alabama."
