Aggies Travel to Cal State Bakersfield

The New Mexico State men's basketball team heads west for its final non-conference tune-up at Cal State Bakersfield, Monday, Jan. 2 at 8 p.m. in Bakersfield, Calif. The game is available on KGRT 104 FM with the 'Voice of the Aggies' Jack Nixon, and the pregame show starts 30 minutes prior to tip.

New Mexico State Aggies
The Aggies are 9-5 this season following an 85-61 win over Arkansas-Pine Bluff, Dec. 31. NM State has three players in double figures with redshirt senior Wendell McKines leading the way with 18.4 points and 10.7 rebounds per game. Sophomore guard Christian Kabongo adds 14.6 points per contest, while senior guard Hernst Laroche provides 11.5 points per game.

Scouting Cal State Bakersfield
The Roadrunners are 7-7 following a 75-41 win over Pomona-Pitzer, Dec. 30. Cal Sate Bakersfield posts a 4-0 record at home. Junior guard Issiah Grayson leads the team with 11.9 points per game.

Series Notes
The Aggies have a 1-0 record in the all-time series. NM State won the first-ever meeting 88-64, Dec. 7, 1985 in Las Cruces.
