The New Mexico State men’s basketball team defeated Louisiana Tech, 75-57, to extend its home WAC win streak to 12 games. The Aggies improved to 13-12 and 7-4 in conference play, and the Bulldogs fell to 11-14 and 2-9.

Junior forward Troy Gillenwater scored a game-high 19 points while sophomore forward Tyrone added 17. Junior guard Hernst Laroche was also in double figures with 13 points.

The Aggies built a 39-30 halftime lead with a 55.2 percent (16-of-29) shooting performance from the field. Gillenwater paced NM State with 11 points. Laroche and Watson contributed nine points each.

NM State extended its lead to 20 points, 53-33, with a Laroche layup at the 15:50 mark. The Aggies started the half on a 17-3 run.

The Aggies play Louisiana Tech for the second time in a week when they travel to Ruston, La., Saturday, Feb. 12 at 2 p.m.
