The New Mexico State University track and field team traveled to Albuquerque, N.M., for a second-straight week to compete in the New Mexico Collegiate Invitational, highlighted by two new all-time school records.

NM State grabbed two of the top five overall finishes in the 60m.  Sophomore Jenna Banegas finished fourth overall with a time of 7.72 and junior Alishia Perkins finished fifth overall with a time of 7.73.  Sophomore Kendra Walker also competed, marking a time of 7.85 for 12th overall.

Two different Aggies finished in the top five overall in the 200m as well.  Freshman Brianna Cromartie continued her early season tear by finishing second overall with a time of 24.29, setting a new all-time school record for the event.  Perkins followed right behind to finish third overall with a time of 24.41.  Senior LaSasha Aldredge finished 12th overall with a time of 24.99, and Banegas finished 13th overall with a time of 25.01.  Senior Deserae Cota and freshmen Kelsi Gonzales and Leah Engleheart also competed in the event.

In the 400m, Cromartie again finished strong when she finished second overall with a time of 55.18.  Her time improved upon her previous career-best record, keeping her at second all-time in the NM State record books.  Aldredge finished right behind Cromartie for third overall with a time of 55.23.  Junior Zoe Meade, Walker and Gonzales finished 10th, 11th and 12th overall respectively.  Freshmen Latrice Brooks, Alysha Bolduc and Engleheart also competed in the event.

Senior Samantha Thompson claimed a top five overall spot for the Aggies in the 800m when she finished fourth overall with a time of 2:18.44.  Brooks and juniors Kayla Nagunst and Carly Porter also competed in the event.

Porter and junior Gael Sanchez finished in the top 15 overall for the 1-mile.  Porter finished 14th overall and Sanchez finished 15th overall.  Junior Rylie Hightower and senior Adrienne Larson also competed in the event.

Three of the top five overall finishes in the 3,000m were taken by Aggies.  Sophomore Diana Hawk, who broke the all-time school record for the 1-mile last week, placed second overall with a time of 9:47.30, which placed her second all-time in the NM State record books.  Seniors Courtney and Camille Schultz placed fourth and fifth respectively.  Courtney ran a time of 9:50.18 and Camille ran a time of 9:56.35, which improved upon her career-record time, and now sits at third all-time for the event.  Senior Madelyn Stoltze, junior Sarabel Bojorquez, sophomore Caroline Lewiecki and freshman Mayra Chavez also competed in the event.
The Aggies set a new all-time school record in the 4x400m when Aldredge, Perkins, Gonzales and Cromartie finished second overall with a time of 3:45.97.

In the high jump, Meade jumped a height of 5-02.25 (1.58m) to finish third overall in the event.  Meade also competed in the long jump where she notched a distance of 17-10.75 (5.45m), moving her up to seventh all-time for NM State.
