Aggies remain in 13th place in Tucson

The New Mexico State women's golf team remained in 13th after the second round of play at the 2012 Arizona Wildcat Invitational with a two-day team score of 643 (319-324) on the par 72, 6,250 yard Vistoso Golf Club Course.
Host team Arizona continues to lead the 14-team field with two consecutive rounds under par. The Wildcats lead the way with a 17-under-par 559, while UCLA sits in second place 13 strokes behind the leader at 4-under-par 572. Those two teams are the only teams to score under par, while Arizona State is in third place with an 11-over-par 587.
Senior Ashley Elias continues to lead for NM State although she dropped to a tie for 29th with an 8-over-par 152 (74-78). Sophomore Demi Mak, who currently has the second most pars in the tournament with 26, is tied for 42nd with a two-round score 154 (76-78).
Sophomore Mieke Canan moved up one spot placing 67th after two rounds of play with a 165 (84-81) and juniors Aileen Meredith and Marisa Bautista tied for 73rd with a 172 (85-87).
