Former New Mexico State football players participated in the Aggies' Pro Scout Day to display their skills for NFL personnel, Friday, March 18 in Las Cruces, N.M.

National Football League scouts from Chicago Bears, Buffalo Bills, Philadelphia Eagles, Miami Dolphins, Oakland Raiders, Green Bay Packers, New Orleans Saints and the New York Giants were all present.

The pro scouts evaluated former Aggies including wide receiver Marcus Allen, defensive back Davon House, tight end Kyle Nelson, linebacker Frank Padilla, strong safety Alphonso Powell, defensive end Kawika Shook, running back Seth Smith, defensive tackle Branden Warner and fullback Brandon Perez.

The event began in the Coca-Cola weight room where scouts complied measurements including heights and weights before players were tested on the bench press, broad jump and vertical jump.

The assessment moved to the practice field where the players participated in the 40-yard dash, L-Drill and the Pro Agility Shuttle.

The 40-yard dash is often one of the most important drills scouts look at when they consider a player. House posted the fastest time, recording a 40-yard dash of less than 4.4 seconds
