This Saturday, NMSU will travel to Big 12 country to face Kansas. The Aggies are 97th in total offense, averaging 312 yards per game. Take into account NMSU has taken on two of the top 20 best offenses in the country, and the defense could take a hit, but the offense is taking the blame for the defense.

Running Back Seth Smith said, "Our offense is just killing our team, period. Not taking a lot of time off the clock, getting the defense back on the field and they're getting tired, so getting first downs are big things, and I think our running game is still here, and our passing game has gotten better, we need to put those two things together."

Head Coach DeWayne Walker added, "When you are playing against two very experienced offenses, so I think for us defensively we're young, and we're still trying to learn who we are. I think we're battle tested to a certain degree, and hopefully it will show this saturday."

5pm MT, NMSU at Kansas televised on Fox College Sports.
