The New Mexico State men's basketball team concludes its WAC road trip at Hawai'i, Saturday, Jan. 21 at 10 p.m. in Honolulu, Hawaii.

The Aggies are 14-5 this season and 4-0 in the WAC after beating San Jose State, 79-63, on the first leg of the road trip, Jan. 19. NM State has two players in double figures with redshirt senior Wendell McKines leading the way with 18.6 points and 10.5 rebounds per game, and senior guard Hernst Laroche provides 12.1 points per game.

The Rainbow Warriors are 10-8 overall and 2-2 in the conference following a 74-70 loss to Louisiana Tech, Jan. 19. The Rainbow Warriors have three players in double digits with senior guard Zane Johnson leading the way with 15.1 points per game. Junior center Vander Joaquim adds 13.6 points and 9.7 rebounds per game, while junior forward Joston Thomas supplies 12.9 points per contest.

The Aggies have a 12-3 advantage in the all-time series. The teams split the two meetings last year with each team winning at home. NM State won the first game, 82-64, Jan. 13, 2011, in Las Cruces but lost, 76-70, Feb. 26, 2011 in Honolulu.

In the final road game of the regular season, guard Christian Kabongo scored a career-high 22 points, but NM State lost at Hawai'i, 76-70, Feb. 26. Guard Hernst Laroche scored 15 points, and guard Gordo Castillo added 14 for the Aggies

NM State coasted to a 79-63 win at San Jose State, Jan. 19. The Aggies earned their second WAC road win of the year for their sixth straight victory. Redshirt senior forward Wendell McKines scored a game-high 24 points, while senior center Hamidu Rahman had a season-high 20 points. Senior guard Hernst Laroche added 15 points. With his second field goal of the game, Laroche became the 29th member of the 1,000-point club at NM State. He is the second player to join the elite club this season. Laroche also broke the school record for career minutes played (3,811) that Eric Channing previously held (3,783).
