Laura Macauley returns to the field after suffering an injury and claims second place in the women’s javelin with a mark of 44.55m. This is the seniors’ second meet of the season and will be competing at the Conference USA Outdoor Championships.

Freshman’s Taylor Gunn and Krystal Flemings took first and second in the hammer throw with throws of 43.71m and 41.53m, respectively. Gunn also participated in the discus throw and posted a season-best mark of 50.56m finishing second overall.

On the men’s side, Elkana Rotich crossed the finish line first in the 1,500m with a season-best of 3:50.57.

On the field Xavier Baker and Donovant Grant represented the Miners in the high jump and claimed second and third place overall.
