SISD Student Receives Broad Scholarship Award

Receiving a large amount of scholarship money can really change someone's life.

Case in point, a Socorro High School senior, who Wednesday morning had no idea she was moments away from receiving a 20 thousand dollar college scholarship.

Angelica Gonzalez was one of 14 SISD students selected to receive the Broad award.

Each student had to work extra hard to stand out above the rest and Gonzalez had to work harder than most.

Not only is Angelica a 17 year-old student, she's also a mom.
