El Paso - Cars started lining the Scotsdale Elementary parking lot on the east side at 6 a.m.
Hundreds showed up to donate to the family of the two young boys killed in an apartment fire last Sunday.
Their sister-in-law, Yadira Sifuentes, is overwhelmed by the support the community is giving her family.
"It's just unbelievable how many people have been affected by this," Sifuentes said. "Not just the family but everybody in the community. Everybody in El Paso and Juarez. It's just so unbelievable. We're so very grateful."
Gibran Sifuentes, 5, and his brother Daniel, 9, were killed after a fire started in a bedroom at the Krupp Apartments on the east side.
Their father, Gilberto Sifuentes, is still in critical condition at the burn center in Lubbock. His daughter-in-law says he's still unaware his children died in the fire.
"He still doesn't know the situation of his children but he will be going under surgery today and hopefully he'll come out better," Sifuentes said.
The fire department is still investigating the cause of the fire but they did say the apartment had a functioning smoke alarm.
If you'd like to help, the Scotsdale PTO has set up an account for the Sifuentes family at the Bank of the West Account # 3096300
