EL PASO- Hector Piedra, 41, has been released from a local hospital and booked into the El Paso County Jail on charges related to allegedly pointing a gun at officers.

Piedra faces charges of Aggravated Assault Against a Public Servant, Evading Arrest or Detention, and Assault – Family Violence. Police say he has been receiving treatment for injuries sustained in the incident since June 25.
