Sheriff's Union Getting No Help From Courts

If the El Paso County Sheriff's Department wants relief from big budget cuts, it's not going to get it in court.

Late Friday, a judge denied a restraining order that would have prevented the county from cutting 22 sergeant's positions at the Detention Center.

The Sheriff's Officers Union claimed the cuts violate their contract.

Doesn't make sense! Why affect 22 or 45 individuals or whatever the number? Instead why do not all uniformed take a pay cut across the board including the Sheriff and his Chief Deputy, Commanders etc? If every took a pay cut of whichever the percentage is 1%, 2% etc just as long as it is even steven and the end result is the tally of 1.8 million for the County. Hello!
