Nine Kidnapping Suspects Arrested in Chihuahua
CHIHUAHUA, MX - Chihuahua police arrested nine suspects allegedly involved in several kidnappings.
The head of the criminal group, Jaime Damian Tovar Carrillo, ordered the kidnappings from behind bars at the Cereso Prison.
Carrillo's wife, Maria del Carmen Martinez Rangel, has also been arrested along with the suspects.
Police say the group, most of whom were between the ages of 18 and 21, kidnapped two businessmen. One, of which, had to pay $1 million.
Chihuahua police are cracking down on gangs like these.
So far, they've arrested 270 people from 70 different gangs.
