In Las Cruces, leaders say they're confident they've got the swine flu threat under control. At a news conference this afternoon both city and county folks said they're in constant contact with state and federal health offices.
The state has the ability to test for swine flu in Albuquerque now so they don't have to send samples all the way to the CDC in Atlanta and the city has placed hand sanitizer at all city offices and recreation centers.
The schools are say they're ready too. All school activities will go on as scheduled and the schools are reinforcing one thing they've always taught kids, to wash their hands.
