Reducing Youth Gang Activity

EL PASO - The University of Texas at El Paso and the Boys and Girls Clubs (BGC) are joining together to talk about youth gang involvement.

"Working Together for Safe and Healthy Neighborhoods: Strategies for Reducing Young Gang Activity" will take place tomorrow in the in the College of Health Sciences Morgan-Roderick Auditorium from 4 to 5 p.m.

The BGC started interviewing both kids and parents about a year ago to understand how the community perceives gang activity.

This project is aiming to inform neighbors about gang activity and prevent kids from being recruited into gangs.
